Were Lines to be Dreams

Were Lines to be Dreams

Is a series of hand drawn pen and ink drawings on paper that seeks to explore line, form, weight, abstraction, intersection, and space. As elements of thickness, dimension, contrast, and rhythm are investigated through repeated emphasis and layers of sustained and recurring geometry, the compositions build an approach to communication and expression, each developing into a unique trajectory of potential.

These drawings are an extension and continuation of an earlier set of explorations entitled plans, signs, and signals from nearly ten years ago. As two-dimensional productions they are rooted in both art, architectural, and design possibilities. The lines and forms vibrate within the boundaries of the paper, seeking to burst forth into the world and manifest ever more present speculative physical constructions.
